Tap & Leap Education Services Private Limited ("TNL") is engaged in the educational service sector, facilitating tutoring services via its integrated platforms, internet resource www.tapnleap.com as well as a mobile application 'TAPnLEAP' (collectively referred to as the "Platforms"), to support and enhance educational delivery and management.
This refund policy ("Refund Policy") sets out the process of the refund mechanism adopted by TNL. The Refund Policy is only applicable for the Students who have been registered with TNL. For the purpose of this Refund Policy, "Student" shall mean and include any individual or his/her representative, having registered with TNL for availing tutoring services through the Platforms.
BY REGISTERING WITH TNL OR BY AVAILING THE SERVICES PROVIDED BY TNL THROUGH THE PLATFORMS, YOU WILL BE DEEMED TO HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD AND AGREED TO THE PRACTICES AND POLICIES OUTLINED IN THIS REFUND POLICY AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THIS REFUND POLICY. YOU HEREBY CONSENT TO OUR REFUND MECHANISM AS DESCRIBED IN THIS REFUND POLICY. TNL RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CHANGE, MODIFY, ADD OR DELETE PORTIONS OF THE TERMS OF THIS REFUND POLICY, AT TNL'S SOLE DISCRETION, AT ANY TIME. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH THIS REFUND POLICY AT ANY TIME, DO NOT USE ANY OF THE SERVICES PROVIDED BY TNL. IF YOU REGISTER WITH TNL ON BEHALF OF SOMEONE ELSE (SUCH AS YOUR CHILD), YOU REPRESENT THAT YOU ARE AUTHORISED BY SUCH INDIVIDUAL TO ACCEPT AND CONSENT TO BE BOUND BY THIS REFUND POLICY ON SUCH INDIVIDUAL'S BEHALF.
Acceptance of the Refund Policy
The Student undertakes to be unconditionally and irrevocably bound by the Refund Policy from the time the Student registers with TNL for availing the services provided by TNL through the Platforms.
Every Student is entitled to a refund of the outstanding amount in the respective Student account. The refund initiation request is to be sent via email to email@example.com. The email should include the reason for claiming a refund and the following details in order for the refund to be processed by TNL: (a) name of the account holder; (b) account number; (c) IFSC code; (d) name of the bank; and (e) name of the branch. TNL disclaims all liability in the event the account details provided by the Student in the refund initiation request email is incorrect.
Upon receipt of the refund initiation request email from a Student, TNL shall forthwith begin the process of refund and deposit the outstanding amount lying in the Student’s account, subject to deduction of 30% of the outstanding amount as cancellation charges, into the bank account, details of which were provided in such email, within 7 calendar days of receipt of email from the Student. The refundable amount would exclude the “Initial Trial Class Amount” as published by TAPnLEAP.
For purpose of clarity, if the outstanding amount in account is Rs. 1000/-, the refundable amount is 70% of Rs.1000/- less “Initial Trial Class Amount”. The Student shall refrain from scheduling and/or availing further tutoring sessions upon refund initiation request email being sent to TNL. However, it is to be noted that TNL shall be held liable only to the extent of refunding the amount lying in the Student’s account as on the day the refund request is being processed by TNL.
When Refund Policy not Available
In the event no activity is undertaken through the Student’s account for a period of 1 year from loading money into the Student’s account/ booking the last session, whichever is later, an email will be sent to such Student informing the Student that he/she has a right to claim a refund of the outstanding amount lying in the Student’s account within a period of 15 days from the receipt of the email, in the manner stated above. If the Student fails to claim his/her refund within the stipulated time period so provided, TNL reserves the right to revoke the applicability of the Refund Policy on such Student’s account. TNL shall not be liable to refund the outstanding amount lying in such Student’s account upon receipt of refund initiation request by the concerned Student post the expiry of the time period provided herein.
TNL is neither responsible nor obligated to initiate an automated refund of the outstanding amount lying in a Student’s account. It is the Student’s obligation to initiate the refund request by sending an email to TNL, as stated above.
Amendment to the Refund Policy
TNL reserves the right to change, update or modify this Refund Policy, in whole or in part, without prior notice to the Student, provided however, that a notification of such change, updation or modification will be made available by TNL through the Platforms. The Student’s uninterrupted and continued usage of the Services provided by TNL shall be deemed as acknowledgment and acceptance of the changes, updates or modifications to the Refund Policy.
